Five decades of European craftsmanship, brought home to America.
Years of experience
European Windows is a custom window, door, and shutter company headquartered in Kearney, Nebraska, serving homeowners, builders, and architects nationwide. Family-run since 1994, we install German-engineered, steel-reinforced vinyl products — built in Bavaria by Heinzmann — in homes and projects across all fifty states.
Bavarian manufacturing begins
Heinzmann GmbH, our German manufacturer, begins producing PVC windows, doors, and roller shutters in Kitzingen, Bavaria — every product marked Made in Germany, built to RAL Class A.
Heinzmann arrives in the U.S.
Bernie & Christel Wolf become the first U.S. source for Heinzmann’s Bavarian-built windows. Many of the letters below were written to Bernie and Christel personally.
A new chapter in Kearney
After 27+ years, the Wolfs transition ownership to Ben Kinnison, who relocates headquarters to Kearney, Nebraska. Same Heinzmann windows. Same standards. Installed nationwide.
Today, that legacy continues. We still work hard to make high-quality products.

Under new ownership in Kearney, Nebraska, we carry the company forward with the same focus on custom solutions, precision engineering, and top-tier materials — ensuring every project reflects the excellence our clients have come to expect.
The same service. The same quality.
Signed by hand. Kept on file.
For over two decades, homeowners, builders, attorneys, and engineers across the country wrote to Bernie and Christel Wolf about their European Windows. The original letters — with signatures, dates, and letterheads intact — are shown here as they were received.
I could tell you had the Mercedes Benz of Windows. This was especially evident when I held it side by side to the number-one luxury brand in America. Even my father pointed out that the competition’s brand was coming undone at the seams.

The Heinzmann 3-pane windows are a pure delight — excellent sound isolation from the busy street, outstanding thermal insulation, and likely deter any potential burglar. The turn-and-tilt mechanism makes them quick to open and super easy to clean.

We had water problems in our house for many years — buckling paneling, peeling paint, milky glass. All of that has been taken care of with the new windows. We just went through one of the coldest winters in a very long time, and we did not feel the first draft.

I have been in the building business for over 20 years and have never felt more comfortable about making a decision regarding a new product. There was no doubt in my mind that we were about to purchase the absolute best windows I have ever seen.

The quality of the units is superb. When you open them you can just feel the quality and workmanship. As a mechanical engineer you can be sure that this matters a lot to me. Excellent product, excellent service, excellent installation.

Although our new home is twice as large and has far more window area than our prior home, our energy consumption has actually decreased. Every window and door is operating flawlessly. We recommend European Windows for both service and quality.

We chose these windows due to their sound construction and versatility. They allow us the option of opening fully or tilting back at an angle. The windows provide excellent insulation, keeping our home comfortable with lower A/C bills. The built-in shutters offer security when needed.

An attorney shot at our windows. Three times.
In 2003, Virgil L. Brown — an attorney in Zebulon, Georgia — decided to independently verify the impact rating of his newly-installed heavy-duty storm windows. He mailed us the results.
.22 long-rifle from 25 feet — bullets penetrated the first layer, never penetrated the window on the opposite side. 12-gauge shotgun with high-brass #8 shot — shot was eaten up by the glass, not powerful enough to dent the plywood behind. .45 caliber pistol, 230-grain ball ammunition — after penetrating the window, bullets were not strong enough to penetrate the plywood behind.
