Entry Doors
Made in Germany from a 90 mm-deep aluminum profile with three sealing planes and a thermally broken threshold. Every door ships with RC 2 burglary-resistance certification standard — a European tested-security rating, not a marketing claim.

Patio & Lift-Slide
For openings that want to disappear. The lift-slide mechanism raises the sash off its seal, glides it silently on rollers, then drops it back down to seal weather-tight. Doors of 660 lb move with two fingers.

French & Balcony

All frames manufactured by Heinzmann in Germany, using VEKA PVC and aluminum profiles that carry RAL Class A and DIN EN 1627 certifications.
Lift the sash. Then slide.
The lift-slide mechanism is the reason a heavy patio door can move under your fingertips. Turning the handle raises the entire sash off its bottom seal, freeing it to glide silently on rollers. Reverse the handle and the sash drops back down — sealing weather-tight and locking in place.

Construction
Aluminum entry doors use a 90 mm-deep profile with a 3 mm wall thickness, three sealing planes, stable corner connections, and concealed mounting grooves. Thermally-separated floor threshold. PVC patio and balcony doors share the Classic 70 or Classic 82 profile systems used in our windows.
Security
Entry doors ship with RC 2 tested burglary resistance (DIN EN 1627) as standard — triple locking with massive swivels, three two-part hinges, and two release locks. Includes a profile cylinder with emergency and danger function and five keys. Optional finger scanner and motor lock available.
Thermal & Glazing
Triple thermal glazing standard on aluminum entry doors: P4A safety glass 9.5 mm outside, VSG 6 mm inside. Frame U-values as low as 0.71 W/m²K in closed configuration on the Anniversary Edition.
Colors & Finishes
Seven aluminum trend colors in fine-structure matte, plus wood, concrete, and rust decor finishes on the Anniversary Edition line. Two-tone option — exterior trend color, interior traffic white — available.

Handles & Hardware
Standard exterior handle: 800 mm stainless steel push bar mounted on the wing (inset fillings) or on the filling with straight supports (double-sided attachment fillings). Interior handle: oval rosette pusher in EV1 finish. Stainless-steel round rosette with profile cylinder on the exterior. Handle upgrades available at extra cost.

Entry doors sized to your rough opening — maximum outer frame dimension 1,150 × 2,240 mm (roughly 45 × 88 inches). Larger openings served by patio, lift-slide, or French-door configurations. Side panels and transoms available in glass or panel.

What kind of doors does European Windows offer?
Three families: aluminum entry doors for the front of the house (RC 2 tested security, made in Germany), patio and lift-slide doors for expansive glazed openings up to 6.5 m wide, and French and balcony doors using the same tilt & turn hardware as our windows, sized for a person to walk through.
